santalucia

“Petrarosa 2010”, a rosé produced by the Albea winery in Alberobello, has won the award for the best rosé in the South of Italy and this prize represent a great success for the company which is now part of Renzini holding.

The prize has been awarded by an international tasting panel headed by the famous English journalist Jancis Robinson, wine writer and columnist for the Financial Times and The World of Fine Wine.

Radici del Sud 2011” is an event organized by leading personalities in the world of wine such as Nicola Campanile, Luciano Pignataro and Franco Ziliani. The aim is to discover old traditions and to enhance Puglia's territory, which has always been suitable for quality wine production and now, more than ever, able to compete, on the international markets.

This award to "Petrarosa 2010" reflects Dante Renzini's tenacity in defending his decision to expand into the world of wine, which together with food is one of the essential elements expressing the beauty of our land.

The Albea winery in Alberobello not only produces high quality wine, and is the winner of many prestigious awards, but is also home to a very interesting wine museum containing reminders of Puglia's rural life and traditions and of the Valle d'Itria's winemaking history.

This is also a great result for the world-famous wine maker Riccardo Cotarella and the winery manager Claudio Sisto.
