In 1999 the Falvo family, with over 40 years of experience in the wine sector, bought and re-founded Masseria Li Veli with the desire to create a project of great quality in Puglia, a region of ancient wine-making traditions. The farm stands on an ancient messapic site dominating the fertile and sunny plain of Salento. Its former owner, the Marquis Antonio de Viti de Marco (1858-1943), an internationally renowned Leccese economist, university professor and Deputy of the Kingdom of Italy, Li Veli made a winery as a model throughout the South. Today the farm, impeccably restored, consists of 33,000 square meters of area of which 3,750 square meters include offices, receptive area, vinification, aging and storage rooms.
