American and chinese journalists are coming in Puglia

A great new opportunity to promote Puglia and its wines abroad: June 9th sees the start of the OCM “Wines of Puglia III” press tour, giving six journalists from China and the USA the chance to visit our region and discover our wine and food traditions, along with Puglia’s marvelous landscapes .

According to Sebastiano de Corato, President of the Movimento Turismo del Vino Puglia, “Thanks to collaboration between a group of top-class wineries belonging to MTV Puglia and to the EU’s OCM promotional funding, we have been able to organize a press tour for a group of top-flight journalists, who will be able to discover the features and the quality of Puglia’s vines and wineries; we are especially interested in welcoming our guests from China. We are absolutely certain that Puglia will prove so fascinating to the journalists on the tour that they will communicate their impressions and feelings to their readers, contributing to the prestige of our wines and our region and helping to increase interest in our wines on their national markets.”

The international guests on the press tour are well-known in their own countries.
Ben Narasin, is a US freelance writer on wine, food, travel and luxury lifestyles; he has written for newspapers (San Francisco Chronicle, SF Weekly), wine magazines (Wine Enthusiast) and consumer trade magazines (Sommelier Journal, Wines & Vines, Wine Business Monthly, Tasting panel). Narasin has also worked in HD television for WineTasteTV and done an editorial stint with the Wall Street Journal.

Rachel Weil, also from the USA, runs Weil Public Relations and won the Los Angeles BizBash Readers award (Choice Award 2012) for the PR Professional of the Year. Her work deals with travel, wine and food, accommodation and lifestyle. Weil is also an expert travel writer/journalist for Peter Greenberg  and writes regularly for many other regional, national and international publicity publications.

Another US guest on the tour is Max Gross, New York Post reporter who has worked on the New York Times, the Huffington Post and other websites, newspapers and large-circulation magazines.

Elyse Glickman is a US journalist writing about food, wine and spirits, health & wellness, company profiles, interior design and entertainment. She is at present senior editor of lifestyle magazine C-Suite Quarterly and her articles also appear in Tasting Panel, Bar Business, In the Mix, the Malibu Times, Joy of Kosher, Intermezzo, Taste & Travel and The Jewish Journal.

Pannee Ng from China is editor and co-founder of Popcorn Media Network. He writes for Winebuzz.hk, a website for wine and food lovers, focusing on wine-tasting and shows in Hong Kong. Winebuzz.hk is supported by auctioneers like Christie’s, Zachy’s Auction, and also the first F&B outlets and hotels in Hong Kong. Also from China, Eddie Chui is a journalist and writer with years of experience and is editor-in-chief of Cru magazine for middle to high-end readers. After traveling in different wine-growing areas of the world, including France, Australia, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, China, Germany, and Italy, Chui is now ready to discover the novelties and the special features of Puglia’s wines.
