Produced in the commune of Matino and outlying areas in the province of Lecce, Matino, like other denominations of similar philosophy, makes only reds and rosés, and predominantly from a minimum of 70% Negroamaro. Malvasia Nera and other lesser varieties may be added to the blend, either alone or together, for a maximum of 30%.
