Ostuni DOP, which does not currently enjoy a significant wine production, relies on the native grape varieties growing in the areas around Ostuni, a commune in the province of Brindisi very popular with tourism. It has only two wine categories, Ostuni Bianco (white) and Ostuni Ottavianello (red). The white wine uses primarily the Impigno and Francavidda varieties, and lesser amounts of Bianco d'Alessano and Verdeca, while the red Ottavianello must be made from a minimum of 85% of the Ottavianello grape.
Categories: Rosso (red), Bianco (white).
