Alezio is another denomination in the province of Lecce dedicated to Negroamaro, and it too is named for the comune most representative of the history of the denomination. It produces only reds and rosés, with at least 80% Negroamaro in the blend. Alezio Rosso may add the term Riserva after 24 months’ maturation.
