Albea

The beautiful Albea building is a landmark in the history and wine-growing tradition of the region. The winery, launched in 1905 and now owned by Dante Renzini, lies alongside the railway lines which once transported locally-produced grapes and must to other regions and abroad. This is a modern business which represents the best of the Itria Valley’s ancient wine-growing tradition. Albea evokes the old name of Alberobello, and the splendid winery building also has an interesting Wine Museum on its upper floor: a continually growing collection of photos and the agricultural tools and implements of a thousand years of agricultural tradition. This winery is a very enjoyable place to visit.
