Feudi di Guagnano was founded in 2002 in the heart of the Negroamaro Park, an area known for its high quality wine-growing thanks to its excellent climate and soil structure. The winery was created by five young entrepreneurs who bought up 15 hectares of vineyards from old farmers with the aim of saving the very old alberello vineyards and making quality wines. A visit to the vineyards scattered around the Guagnano area and to the wineries in the centre of the town is really a tour of the heartland of Salento wine production. The winery has rooms for aging, a barrel cellar and a wine-tasting room where wine tourists can try the wines before taking a look at the Negroamaro Museum.
