Puglia and its wines
Daunia
From the rocky coast of the interior, we leave behind us the mountains of Sub Apennine and reach the vast plain of the Tavoliere. We are in the middle of wheat fields and vineyards as far as the eye can look at.
In this land coexist, among others the following grapes: Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (producing full-bodied reds), Bombino Bianco (elegant finesse, great acid and structure) and Nero di Troia (unique and long considered "beyond control", today it is mainly vinified alone).
These grapes, among the most appreciated of Puglia, can be found in five DOC’s (from Cacc'e Mmitte Lucera to Castel del Monte) and it provides continuity with the following oenological Murge area.
