Salento holds a priceless heritage of farm houses and ancient mansions where we can discover the age-old link with the culture of vine and with Negroamaro. Salento is appreciated by tourists for breathtaking views of the Adriatic rocky seaside, sandy stretches of the Ionian sea and the marvelous Baroque architecture.
Here Negroamaro grape is still often grown with the traditional technique of Pugliese tree. It is a vine of basic importance to the Doc in this territory and it contributes to the production of great impenetrable red wines. It’s a variety of probable Greek origin which is often combined with Malvasia Nera di Brindisi and di Lecce (they also strongly identify this area).
