The winery began in 2003 in the Primitivo di Manduria production area, home to great reds, and has since become one of the best representatives of the area’s wine-growing scene.

Its vines are over seventy years old, and the training method used is head training, a peculiarity of the area. The aim has been to exploit the excellent potential of Puglia’s wines by valorizing local varieties and taking account of the Salento’s climate. Years of monitoring and improvements to the vineyards mean the winery today has a foothold in over 60 markets in Europe and beyond, thanks to the joint efforts of director Mauro Di Maggio and marketing manager Valentina Antonini.

Francesco Cavallo manages Feudi di San Marzano, combining a very traditional approach to the vineyards with a modern approach to wine-making, thereby producing excellent quality wines as guaranteed by Iso 9001, Iso 14001, BRC and IFS certifications.
