Puglia and its wines
Valle d'Itria
Not only Primitivo and not only red wines. Entering the Itria Valley, well known for its conical roofs constructions - the trulli – we can admire the rows of Bianco d'Alessano and Verdeca from which we obtain very delightful and well known whites wines like Martina and Locorotondo. They use the same grapes, and they differ only by their respective percentages set by production rules. The remarkable temperature differences between day and night, as well as hot summers and cold winters, facilitate the structuring of very pleasant and persistent perfumes and aromatic bouquet in the grapes. Bombino bianco and Fiano enrich the ampelographic landscape of white wines.
