    Puglia and its wines

    Murge

Descending gradually from Daunia to Northern Bari we walk through the kingdom of Nero di Troia. Its grapes grow on the hills and develop wines characterized by a good structure, suited to long ageing.
Murge, an area extremely heterogeneous and generous, lies at the foot of the famous Castel del Monte (a castle built by the emperor Frederick II during the Middle Age) and it is the ideal habitat for Bombino Bianco, Bombino Nero and Montepulciano. Widespread in this area, close to the Basilicata Region, Aglianico grapes here also express themselves at appreciable levels of both strength and elegance.
